The annual Pedigree Ram Show and Sale hosted by Aberdeen & Northern Marts and kindly sponsored by Harbro Ltd and supported by Elanco will be held at Thainstone Centre, Inverurie on Tuesday 24^th September.

The event has a total of 740 entries forward, with 245 Suffolk, 180 Texel, 10 Bluefaced Leicester, 10 Border Leicester, 50 Charollais, 50 Beltex, 40 Blue Texel, 95 Dutch Spotted rams & females, and 60 pure and cross any other breeds.

The show of Suffolks will be judged by Bobby Poleson of Findlins Farm, Hillswick, Shetland, with Ewan Gordon of Wellheads, Huntly set to judge the Texel section. The Bluefaced Leicester, Border Leicester and Charollais section will be judged by John Blackhall, East Brachmont, Durris, Banchory. Andrew Anderson, of Smallburn Farms, Plewlands, Duffus is set to judge the Beltex and Blue Texel’s and in the Dutch Spotted section, the show will be judged by Edward Adamson, Kilroot Flock, Co Antrim.

At last year’s event, Texels lead the way when the champion shearling from Matthew Seed of Auchry, Cuminestown, topped the sale, fetching 2,400gns. The John Mackie Perpetual Trophy winning ram was sold to Cairness Ltd, Fraserburgh.
